    TLR-2 vs. M6

Did a searcha ways back and found nada...

What's the feeling between the two? Biggest thing I see is aluminum housing for the TLR and also a thumb screw as opposed to the spring latch rail deal on M6.

I'm looking for a combo to go on a 7.5 inch M4... waddya think between the two?

TLR is an LED while the M6 is an incandescent bulb. For me, I'd go with the TLR over the M6 between the choices you gave.

I've found the basic M3 and M6 to be unsatisfactory. The X-variants are improved. The TLR-1/2 are substantially improved. The Surefire X200 remains my first choice for that type of light unless I have to have an incandescent.

I have both an M6X and a TLR2 and I will say go with the TLR2 over the M6X for a couple of reasons. First the Aluminium body is a stonger set up. The mount is superior as well. With it's screw on adjustment it can fit rails that might not be exactly in spec as well.

Now the important part, the LED in the TLR is way brighter. In my case I wound up with both through trades and I may very well get rid of the M6X. The TLR is going to become IR for night applications but a visible one will be had as well in the future.

My TLR-1 box says " Designed and Assembled in the USA." I wouldn't be surprised if their M3 series were though.

Designed and assembled is not the same thing as made in America.
