I've been sitting on the fence for an ACOG mount, I'm going with the Bobro.

the only difference between the larue and ADM mounts is appearance, really.. the bobro, on the other hand, is a different clamping mechanism. it's actually got a clamping bar that locks onto the receiver rail, whereas the ADMs and Larue levers clamp the rail themselves. personally, if cost wasn't an issue, i'd go with the bobro every time.

why do you need a cantilever, specifically?

I just went with a LMT BUIS (fixed) and want a new (better) mount for a lower 1/3 co-witness. I also decided to go with a cantilever so I would have a few more options on where to mount my Aimpoint. If I want it off the BUIS, I can mount it on the forward edge of the receiver. If not then I can back it up a couple of notches. I've seen similar set ups and they look like what I want to do.
