Please note: This is just my base coat, I still have a few other colors and some stuff to add to it, but it does look pretty cool the way it is now too..

Anyway thank you for your time team, I’ll post up pics of the complete rifle in a week or so..

Damn that must be hard to see with the masking tape in the scope....

99HMC4 jests, but how much of the turret markings did you mask?

Hey thanks guys.. I can assure you all that the turrets are safely covered and the scope will function without any issues at all..

    Thanks for your concerns..

    BUT!...

I had my First failure.. Hahahahaaa

First let me say, I’m not doing a traditional camo pattern, everyone has one, I’m going to be doing something a little different. With said different comes with many failures before true success is achieved.. Here is one of my many failures.. Hhahahahahaaa.. I’m combing a GAP with a snakeskin in a dessert colors:

Changed it from green to black

OOooooooo.. Did I mention that a GREAT thing about Duracoat is it all washes off…

That’s right!.. just incase you didn’t know that little fact, you actually have 45 minutes after its painted to decide if your going to keep it.. If you decide you don't like it then you simply soak a rag in the reducer and wipe it off the gun.. But if you wait longer than 45 minuets your SOL.. Hence the scope.. Hahahahahaa… I’ll need prep it unlike the rifle for round II..

I’m starting on the second theme this weekend, lets hope it turns out better then the last one..

    Have a great weekend everybody..

I like your DTA re-paint. It turned out really well. I was up at their shop in SLC not too long ago. Nice shop and nice people too.

    Best regards,

You could paint over the turrets all you want and they would still turn. I was just givin him some shit. Looks good though....

Awesome paint job. When are we going to get a range report on that rifle? Is that one chambered in .338 Lapua?

Hey team, just an update on the painting process..

Second attempt (Fail) I love trying new things.. Hahahaa.. I don't even know what you would call this, but hey it’s different and looked good on the story board.. Haha…

Third time is a charm!... I feel good about this one..

Only three more colors and a few patterns.. If I don't screw this one up it should look IMO bitchen.. I’ll post up pics of the completed rifle in a few..

Thanks for your time team and have a great one

    P.S.
As for a Range report.. sure.. Here’s a six shot group at 200 yards.. I’ve shot a total of 44 rounds through her.
20 of the factory 180 gr (for break in)
24 rounds of reloads.. It really likes the reloads..

Here is 200 yards 6 shoot groups with my reloads (190 gr bullets)

And here is an 8 shoot group with my reloads (208 gr bullets)

The next time I get out I’m trying my 220gr bullets..

    I just love this gun..

Hey thanks for your time team and I'll post pics up of the completed rifle in a week or so..
