How to find good shooting locations in Wenatchee Natl Forest?

Is there a good place to find safe/accessible shooting locations in Wenatchee Natl Forest area? I'm going to be up in Leavenworth area for several days, and will have a chance to go out for a day shooting. Wanted to find a good spot in the Natl. Forest, but don't know where to begin. In the past, I've tried calling Ranger stations and they are usually worthless; it's pretty clear they don't want you there.
