1st AR build
after researching and checking stuff out and learning a bunch..
I decided I wanted a light M4 style
went to the gun show yesterday and pieced one together with the stuff I wanted on it
RockRiver lower with match trigger
Bushmaster lightweight upper with 16" barrel
ace skeleton rear stock
eotech
yankee hill flipup BUIS
will probably replace the foreram with a lightweight free floater with a rail for my TLR2
I know it's not the absolute best of every single component, but, I like it and it should serve this weekend warrior just fine

The 1st one's always special. Looknig good. Enjoy

Congradulations,
Has it been to the range?
And don't take this the wrong way, but it looks funny. Out of proportion in the second and third shot. I am guessing it is the cammera angle, combined with the thin barrel. I guess, what I am asking is, it is just the cammera angle right?

it was my 2nd son's 3rd birthday yesterday afternoon.
was planning on going afterwards but the kids were having such a good time I didn't want to rush it...
so, this evening
it feels balanced front and rear weight wise

I'm thinking of a similar project, and I'll take this opportunity to pick your brain.
Any 'wiggle' between the Bushmaster upper and RRA lower?
What advantage does the Ace skeleton rear stock give, compared with the other telescopic-style stocks?
Nice-looking rifle, BTW!
-
nice and tight between upper and lower
the reason I picked the Ace is I checked out a S&W with one on it and liked the way it felt when shouldering and sighting it
and didn't feel the need for a collapsing stock
