I have built 5 ARs' using Spikes lowers. Some of the best I have seen since the scare of '08.

Spikes Tactical is saved in my favorites I have bought many of their products. I have their ST-22 .22lr upper and recently bought one of their complete lowers. I ordered 2 magazines from them, they forgot to send one, the problem was fixed quickly and in the end I got a free t-shirt, a ton of free stickers and even a free magazine out of the ordeal. They have high quality products and GREAT customer service.

CMT and LMT carbine receiver extensions are extruded, I wouldn't call those garbage.

Looks alot different, Also it says that rail will be discontinued for an indefinite amount of time.

I want to finish up my middy build with one of these slim rails, but i have a feeling its going to be a few months before those are out

If it is not made from 7075-T6 its garbage. I haven't seen a CMT receiver extension in a while and it would be a shame if they were extruded. They used to make the best forged 7075-T6 four postion receiver extension on the market. Stag is using forged receiver extensions. I would have to believe they are made by CMT. I have no knowledge of how LMT manufactures theirs.

Grant's research indicates that stag/cmt REs are impact extruded which is allowed per TDP. I have also emailed and received in response from stag that their REs are extruded.

ETA: Sorry, not trying to take this off topic. Last post from me.

Those holes in the middle of the picatinny rail need to go. Bad. If that's the only way to save weight on the system then it needs to start over from scratch.

    spike's tactical .22 upper issues

Bought a used .22 upper. Cleaned it out, reamed the bore/ feedramp with polishing compound. It's real nice and shiney. For some reason, it still doesn't want to fwed, even when I work the action manually. I am using blackdog mags, so I doubt it's a mag issue. Anyone have a similar experience? If so, how was the problem corrected?

I think very highly of their uppers. I have no experience with their lowers.

    I'll vouch for their lowers.
