I intended to shoot a 600 yard match this weekend, but rain meant no paper targets. I shot 200m-500m steel instead. Once I had the windage dialed in, I had no problems going from 200 to 300 to 400 to 500 and back. I handed the rifle off to a President's Hundred shooter. Using Mk262, he was consistently hitting the head of a miniature ram silhouette at 500 meters.

    I should have some 10 shot groups at 100 and 200 yards..."soon".

That's some awfully good shooting. Must be brand new or still in the works since it's not currently listed on the Spikes website. Hopefully the barrels (plus gas block or FSB) will be available as a stand alone part sometime in the future.

It seems like every time a round is to be chambered, it slams into the top of the chamber, thus damaging the round and failing to chamber.

i purchased one to run in a carbine i have and its too heavy resulting in short stroking on 55gr ammo, at least i think thats what is happening. I need to pour some of the powder out, but dont have a digital scale. The stopper is similar to a weighted buffer, but held in place by a rollpin. It seems secure.

I have not opened it up yet, but I do not expect to slip out at all. Im sure the stopper sits pretty deep in the tube.

This is likely an ammo issue, as these barrels can be finicky. What ammo are you using?

I've had one for a month. I haven't shot it yet. I'll post a review when I get one.

i had to smooth out the edge at the top of the chamber where the round is catching, on my original spike's upper to get it to feed properly.
