Here is a nice post on AR15.com about the lowers and who makes the "newer" spikes lowers. The same company as Noveske. It is kinda funny we keep beating our heads against a brick wall. We who use these weapons in our profession or like rob aka Tacticalyellowvisor who actually do great articles and visit these factories only to be bombarded with stupid commitments from "internet rangers". God bless Rob for putting up with the BS, he could charge for his knowledge or keep it to himself and deprive everybody of great info. It seems like everybody has something to say about the latest greatest AR pimp crap. I partially blame the companies for the hype to make money, however I believe their should be some kind of check with M4Carbine to screen people that post to weed out some of these truck monkeys. The whole point of these forums is to help people make better decisions and not waste money or fund piss poor companies with bad service. One company I purchased a $2800.00 AR from has horrible customer service when I had an issue. However everyone that defended them as a great company would dare even humor me with an offer when I posted the rifle on the exchange for DEALER COST, $1950.00. Only had 100 rds through it and the company finally replaced and fixed my issue. Those people who defended the company and their customer service conveniently didn't need another one or thought my price was too high. The cheapest NEW one on gun-broker was $450.00 more than I was selling for. That is bullsh*t, and that is all this forum has become unfortunately its a shame it has. Anybody that loves a company's products that much would jump on a lightly used gun at dealer's cost with free shipping. Anyhow, sorry about my rant, but the issue here is if you have some info that is opposite of what someone has posted and proven, then lets hear it, if not put that crap to bed. All that does is screw up people that are just trying to get into ARs, then they have a bad experience...............
Let the trash talking and cursing me begin because that is what we are about on here.................

That's odd.
After the election they told me they bought the machinery and were going to make their own lowers.

is that no matter what we read/say on the net, we are responsible for our own actions. I just bought a spikes a few weeks ago, based a little on the good reviews it got across the board. In fact the only consistent complaint was about the damned spider logo. If thats all you can complain about then maybe its not really worth heaping on other people, just keep it to yourself. However, if this rifle takes a crap I am the one who bought the thing and will deal with it. I will let people know about what happened and what was done to fix it by the company who sold it to me. Beyond that I'll keep my emotions to myself. Frankly I love this place and don't think its that bad, but I am new here (ignorance is bliss maybe). It all boils down to this: buyer beware. If anyone buys something solely on the advice of others without checking on things themselves, then they get what they get.
If you want a really good opinion of what works/what doesn't then head over to a serious forum where this kinda stuff is what people stake their lives on. There are a few forums out there open to the public where guys from Delta and SOCOM, both past a present, discuss this stuff. You can be sure that they don't put up with any crap.
Aside from a few fanboys and a few haters, I think this thread has been pretty helpful. I'm not too experienced with AR15's or M4gery's, so its nice to have the rifle I just purchased put through a brief inspection and test by a guy who's taken his hobby miles further than I have at present. Regardless of what rifle system you use to kill paper with, keep in your squad car, hunt coyote's, or impress your net friends with the general consesus from the experienced is to shoot the absolute bejesus out of it with all different kinds of ammo and in all kinds of enviroments, and if anything goes wrong you will know where your system has a weakness and can begin to correct it. The only caveat is that we have adequate training to make sure we aren't the weak link in our system.
Maybe we all take it a little to seriously sometimes?
Hey I agree. Get the rifle you want. If Spikes is putting everything they say they are into the rifle and CONTINUE to do so, it should be a good set up.
I still want the Fitty Cent lower.

Wasn't sure if it was proper ettiquette to post a link to another forum. I've found this place to be pretty informative, but then again I am neither tactical or tacticool so some of you may be better judges than I am.

I may be a gear geek but Fitty Cent is too much even for me!Sorry if it seemed I was calling you out or anything, I wasn't posting with any one person in mind. Even though I got the Spikes I can agree with a lot of what you said about the spider being a little much (it just suits my fancy), and I agree that some of what they are doing is pretty gimmicky. I really hope this rifle pans out since it is all spikes. I will do what I can with my lack of internet savvy (gear geek, definitely not a tech geek) to post pics and reviews of my first few thousand rounds through it.
And I hope that I didn't come across as being elitist or anything with my post about heading over to a more serious forum. I am not nor will I ever be high speed, low drag; and I don't mean to come across like I am. I joined this forum to learn and to occasionally contribute where I can. After reading my post again (ready, fire, aim) I see how I impied that this wasn't a serious forum. That was not my intent. I know that everyone here is very serious and passionate about what you carry/use. I was referring to the guys over at Prof. Soldiers who are actual SOCOM, Delta, and SFO because I thought it would be a good idea to check out what guys like that think about their own personal and duty weapons.
