    Vertical Forend

Can you put a vertical forend on a pistol without breaking any laws? The reason I ask is that I was looking at getting an HK clone sp89 or mp5k in a pistol version. I thought I read somewhere that I couldn't legaly put a vertical foregrip on them. Also, I guess the same question would apply to say a RRA AR pistol with the quad rail, can you put one on that weapon?

    Thanks

No, you can't. At that point it becomes an AOW. You can fill out a Form1 and pay the ATF a $5 transfer tax though.

Well, you will have to go to the sheriff, get pictures, get fingerprinted, all that jazz...

I think its $200 to register and $5 to transfer, you will need to pay $200 to get it going unless you buy one from a dealer pre done and that should be $5.
I would just SBR personally, then you can have a stock and a VFG.
