There seems to be an awful lot of recoil in a couple of your videos with the BattleComp on your channel. Is it timed properly? It seemed to really be rocking you back and jarring you. I'm curious as I was going to put one on my 14.5" and my 10.5", but it makes me question my choice on the 10.5" if it really has that much recoil.
I mean, I can just use another triple tap, I just really want to stop where I'm at with those and switch the BC.
ETA - welchtactical has some videos on his YouTube channel one handed with an SBR that barely moves, really great stuff.
I don't have one on any of my ARs yet, though I use them on a SCAR 16 and 17 which I believe I posted a while back and they stay almost completely still. Actually, if I can find the video of the 17, it almost looks as if it's pushing the muzzle down just a bit.
I'm really looking forward to the 51t model and if there will ever be a Surefire compatible model. If there was a Surefire compaticble model, I think there would be no question about me replacing my T3's. I am excited to try a 51t model though as my mini4 will be available within a month of their release, I'd imagine...
Looking forward to what's coming. As much as I hate the idea of pinning, I think a Surefire compatible 1.5 model would be great. That way it could travel with me without a permission slip and still be used with a Surefire. Hopefully.

Looks like I'm needing one of these...
So, the only difference between the 1.0 and 2.0 is that the 2.0 can be used with a Gemtech HALO supressor but as far as function without a sound supressor they are the same. Is that correct?
My guess is that I just suck as a shooter, rather the BAC sucking as a muzzle device. I don't plan on doing one handed mag dumps in a firefight so that's why I didn't try or feature it in a clip.
Recoil on a .223 never has scared me so I cannot comment on your dilemma as far as that goes.
It has nothing to do with a fear of recoil it's just that it was noticeably more, so I was curious if there was something more to it like timing, etc. My guns don't move at all with BattleComps, but I can't really compare those two to the ARs.
My ARs are either wearing T3's or FH's. I'm looking to move away form the T3's and go to BattleComps once certain models become available.
For the record, I doubt welchtactical will be doing any one handed shooting or mag dumps either way, it was just to show, as on the BattleComp site, that it tames recoil. He does some pretty decent shooting in those videos with an SBR where the gun barely moves.
Just trying to put it all in perspective and understand why it was driving you back like that.
Oh, and I think the BattleComps are great. Like I said, I have two and posted some pics a few pages back. They are extremely effective and it makes me regret the $430 T3's, though there was a reason for the purchases at the time and I'm still happy with them, just ready to move to the BattleComps.

Hey, it makes for good video!Plus, never know when you may have to move someone aside, drag someone or something, or be pushing in a door.
Thanks Jon. I had 2 Triple Taps, I now have 2 Battle Comps and had lots of range time with the ammo I bought when I sold the 3Ts. My laptop crashed recently and I have been using a program from a friend to move all my stuff off of it. I was looking at some old videos of us shooting with the 3Ts, and then ones with the BC and would say the BC works much better. It's not about taking the stinging pain out of the 223s recoil, it's more about taking away the muzzle rise, completely. The recoil impulse is straight to the rear (with proper handling) and allows MUCH quicker second shots. Using a brake usually means HUGE fireballs, horrid concussion, and LOTS of noise. I spent all night Friday following shooters through a shoot house in the dark. Of all the brakes the BC was the easiest on me following behind or standing beside of the shooter. (Worst being the Surefire 2 chamber and a AAC Breakout on a 10.5, felt like a open hand smack while having a hair dyer pointed at you.) The Battle Comp also had the smallest flash signature as well. I shot last night some with and some without my PVS14 and PEQ and impressed by the small amount of noticeable flash, and only so while looking through NODs. With the NODs the flash was on par with an A2. If you want to keep your muzzle on target and have a threaded barrel, you can't go wrong with the BC.
