Oh...so, I guess that one guy running the BC was using that "no flash" ammo.

If he's smart enough to run a Battlecomp, he's smart enough to run "low flash ammo"

Sorry guys, It wasn't very scientific or planned for that matter. All ammo was .223 55gr FMJ
In order of shooters, ammo was Federal .223 bulk , xm193 lake city brass, and fiocchi. Is there enough variance in these 3 brands to cause a drastic change in the muzzle flash based on ammo alone?

I have never even seen low flash ammo? =P anyways. here's a few more pics...Next time we are out, I will use all same barrel lengths and all same ammo.

    BC,
Any timeframe for the AAC M4-2000 adapter.

p.s. any plans for adding a strike face or window breaker or both.

Rebar? I think you mean barbed wire?

No, he means rebar. Seeing as they'd have to triple the size of the BC, I seriously doubt, and hope we won't, see one.

Question about installing a BC 2.0: Can I use a crush washer or do I need to use the shims that came with the unit? Since I live in California, where our Glorious Leaders have determined that we have no need to use a suppressor, there is little chance that I will need to hang a Halo or any other device on the end of my Battle Comp. Same question with Rockset: If I use the shims, can I use just anti-seize on the threads, or do I need to always use Rockset with the shims. I like the idea of being able to remove the BC without glue in the way, but I don't want it to come loose either.

P.S. This is my first AR build -- come to think of it, I don't think I have ever shot an AR before. Guess I've got lots of catchin' up to do

There are several people in this very thread that have installed a 2.0 with a crush washer.

As to the Rocksett, it's my understanding that it's about as easy to break loose as blue Loctite, so it probably wouldn't be too big a deal to remove your brake down the road if you use it.

Since you do not plan to use a suppressor a crush washer is perfectly acceptable to use with a 2.0. Rockset/Loctite are not required. The torque applied against the crush washer is sufficient to maintain device stability and orientation. If you have any problems installing your comp or have any questions feel free to PM me and I'll be more than happy to help you out.
    Cheers,
    Marty
