Look at GotM4s post- he says they've worked in his DPMS lowers. You should be good to go.

My advice is send the Mags quickly back to the vendor you bought them from this is what I did.[] Then get some tried and true metal 30rd Mags.[^]

The first round went into the chamber fine, fired, and the the carrier closed on an empty chamber. It seemed that the mag could not push the round up fast enough to be caught by the carrier. I cleared it and charged the handle again. This one went in fine. I fired and the next one took a nose dive. I took out the mag and tried slipping the rounds out by hand. With each round the follower/cartridges came up at a snails pace. The last 10 rounds in the mag seemed to function fine in all the mags, but I had the same problems described above with each of the magazines. Either a nose dive or not making it into the chamber at all. More than 50
% of the rounds did this. I only shot about 20 rounds total through the Pmags because I got so frustrated. I cycled more rounds by hand and encountered the same thing.

I believe the Pmag has a lot of promise because of its strengths above the normal GI mags, but my confidence in the Pmag system is waning. I hope I just got a bad first batch, but I am reluctant to try them again.

Does anyone recommend who I should contact, my supplier or Magpul themselves to rectify the problem?

(Before anyone asks, all GI and HK mags work perfectly in approx. 700 rounds.)
Give us a call on tuesday (1 877 4MAGPUL) and Amanda or some one else will get the mags exchanged for you. This issues was addressed in the 04/07 revision. If that does not work we will refund your money.

Flanker4741 is unhappy because we wouldn't send him 6 free mags after he sent his original 6 back to to his vendor for a refund.

flanker4741, we have decided we will send you two mags to cover the cost of you shipping but that is it.

S&W lowers are the only lowers to date that I have seen have any issues with PMags. Draw your own conclusions....

Some interesting food for thought. First, cutters become dual and from time to time we see tight magwell's from a variety of manufacturers (to include LMT, POF, etc ,etc). This is somewhat normal I think.

As we all know, there is an allowed variation in the magwell diameter and in the size of magazines as well. Most manufacturers try to stay around the middle of this spec, but that doesn't always happen.

The best way to see who is at "fault" for this would be to get a set of digital calipers and measure the inside of the magwell.

I have now sold over 800 PMAGS and have NOT had a single return on any of them for the issue mentioned above. This tells me something.

There is also another rumor going around that the reason that S&W has pulled ALL of their AR's from being made at Stag Arms is because they were getting "seconds" in ALL components. This might explain why we are seeing out of spec S&W lowers. Just a thought....

Wow. How legal would it be to use all seconds for one certain company's AR production? I guess it would depend on the contracts, huh? I mean, seconds are just that, not total rejects or garbage but just not quite the best.
