    John Rambo

This is the trailer for the new Rambo movie called John Rambo slated to be released in the summer of 2008. I must say the trailer really has me hyped to see it. Glad he didn't decide to go the way of Die Hard 4 and make it PG-13. They're talking about giving it a NC-17 rating if the violence isn't toned down. Hopefully Sly stick to his guns and makes it the way it should be made.

Wow, I really want to see this movie. It's Bloodier than the other ones, but I'm sure theyll tone it down a bit.

NC-17 would probably cost a ton as far as lost revenue from moviegoers. Even R movies were getting less revenue than their PG-13 counterparts but an R-rated franchise should remain R-rated. I wouldn't mind seeing an NC-17 but its more likely an NC-17 will be released on DVD and the R version will come out to theaters...as long as they don't ruin it and turn it into a PG-13.

Did they really make the new Die Hard PG-13? I find that really disappointing. They ruined the Alien and Predator R-rated franchises by making a lousy PG-13 movie. I don't get why they're making R-rated themes just watered down enough that PG-13 crowds can attend, then complain about how violent it was.

Because teenagers go to the movies alone, so they can't get into R-rated without a parent/adult. People old enough to go to R-rated movies stay home and wait for the DVD because they don't want to put up with all the P.O.S. noisy disrespectful little mouth-breathing oxygen thieves at the theaters. The ratings are then catered to the biggest audience in theaters with PG13s, and then they drop it onto DVD with an "unrated" to cater to both markets - adults who didn't want to see it in theaters, and kids who saw it in theaters renting it in hopeso f seeing more. (Ever notice that "unrated edition" is movie code for "flopped in theaters, so we've included more boobs"?) What gets me most is that PG-13 shows pretty much anything vile except violence these days, as if violence was the only bad behavior you can see in movies.

A lot of times movies are filmed much more violent than they intend to release them as. That way when it goes to the censor board (which is what it is) they can show them all the cuts they made to make it R rated.

First Blood was a classic, the others sucked.

    Yep, me too.

Anti gun (despite making millions glorifying the use of them) and pro illegal immigration.

It seems like movies are becoming more like 'first person shooter' video games. Some gory scenes in that trailer for sure.

I guess I'm getting old. I like gore less than I did as a teenager.

Thanks for providing the link though.

Hate to hear that but me not watching any of his movies isn't going to change his opinion.

Really looking forward to seeing this one. I know the second two where no where near as good as the first as far as story goes. I like them just for the fun of watching him kick everyones ass. Kinda like Death Wish, I just like the one-liners and watching the bad guys get it good.

Don't forget he is also a draft dodger. He fled to Canada to avoid the draft during the VN era. It's kinda funny he made a lot of money playing a VN Vet. He is anti-gun, but like many of that ilk, the laws should not apply to him because he is one of the elite. I saw him buy an AR-15 at a Miami gun show about 10 years ago.
