Thanks VA Dinger, I had an M4 upper rigged exactly as this one but liked the velocity the 16" barrel gave over the 14.5,(101fps) handling wise they were the same.

I'm just a hunter, I call coyotes mostly, so I really have no idea on what works for a soldier or LEO. I've just found quality ideas from the HSLD type of guys, that work for me and what I do.

I started off with an extremely accurate Colt 16" HBAR, right now it wears a Leupold MK4 4.5-14 scope in an Armalite mount. It weighs 9# and works very well in it's own right. I also have a pretty much stock Colt 6520 that is simple and fun, it weighs 6# and it works for it's intended purpose.

I guess I tried to combine the good points of both into one gun. I'm very happy with what I ended up with. Attach what you will use to it and be done no matter what it weighs as long as the weight is justified.

    Colt LE 6520, Trijicon TA44R-4, A1 grip.

I'm going to throw a G2 on there, maybe a E2 Defender, I'd like to keep this as light as possible.

I have been watching this one with much interest, to add to the info from the other one...

Here's my wifes (9x19 here) 11.5" SBR. I've not weighed it but I'm guessing it weighs between 5 & 6lbs. It was an HBAR but I had the barrel turned down to .625" under the handguards.

    And with Streamlight M3 mounted.
