    I've been planning to start building a rifle later this year and have been debating back and forth between a 14.5" or 16" barrel. This thread is really making me lean toward the 14.5". Thanks for the review and I look forward to seeing the results of your continued testing as well as more pics.

    The only way to improve on that barrel is if it had an LWRC piston kit attached.

    I don't even see that a light weight is necessary. At least on this set up.

    This upper feels very light with this stuff mounted up front: (gear sector mount, light, and DD fixed front sight.
