    Good looking rifle.

    I just got a BCM 14.5 middy lightweight with the 11" VTAC but haven't put it together yet.

    DHart, nice looking blaster and all, but now that you've shot it you need to take more pics of it. A well used carbine looks SO much better IMHO than a clean (or in your case new) one in pristine condition, and has a much higher "Awesome Level."

    JakesDad.... oh man, you're going to love it! Congrats to you.

    RetreatHell... ah yes, all in good time, my friend. But it will take a very long time before it achieves that beater "awesome level" you speak of, because I'm just too easy on my guns! I don't thrash 'em at all and don't often get the chance for lots of rugged shooting environments. I will be shooting this every other day or so in my in-home range, but just 30 to 60 rounds each session and that doesn't create much visual wear. I know, I don't get out enough.

    It takes a while for it to get the well-used look, since ya gotta use quite a bit, lol! I was actually just talking about pics now that you've shot it a bit so that the BCG and your battle comp won't have the shiny new lookm that's all

    I read on another forum that if you break it down and tumble it in a laundrymat dryer, with a bucket of gravel and dirt for an hour, it can speed up that "salty" look.....

    This is my first AR and after shooting it I cannot imagine a rifle that would shoot nicer. It's incredible how smooth everything operates with very little recoil. I went with the H3 buffer and no regrets so far. Shooting cheapest ammo I can get my hands on, Monarch and Tula so far.

    * BCM 14.5″ upper with permanent flash hider, 1/7 twist chrome lined barrel
    * BCM Bolt Carrier Group and Charging Handle
    * YHM Stripped Lower
    * DPMS Lower Parts Kit
    * Magpul MOE Mid-Length Handguard
    * VLTOR Modstock
    * BCM Mil-Spec Extension Tube Kit with H3 Buffer
    * Aimpoint Comp C3 2 MOA
    * Magpul Rear Flip-Up BUIS
    * Larue Tactical LT-150 Aimpoint Mount
    * Magpul MOE Trigger Guard
