1. Generators (Good ones cost dearly. Gas storage, risky. Noisy...target of thieves; maintenance etc.)

4. Seasoned Firewood. Wood takes about 6 - 12 months to become dried, for home uses.
5. Lamp Oil, Wicks, Lamps (First Choice: Buy CLEAR oil. If scarce, stockpile ANY!)

7. Guns, Ammunition, Pepper Spray, Knives, Clubs, Bats & Slingshots.

When I moved to Florida, I saw some of the stuff that was put out by the state/feds on preparedness. One thing they brought up was "Be sure to have manually powered can opener."

Surprised the hell out of me, I thought that was just standard household equipment. Then again, most of the stuff they suggested I could've figured out when I was in 5th grade.

Agreed. What other sorts are there? Last electric one I saw was at neighbors when I was a kid in the 70s. (while true, I a being facetious and I realize many people probably have electric ones)
