    DPMS LR308 Build

My DPMS LR308 build as it is right now. The Leupold M3 is on there temporarily, I am planning on putting a 1-4 variable optic of some sort, with SWFA's as of yet unreleased 1-4 FFP mil/mil illuminated scope leading the way. The parts:

    DPMS LR308 lower
    Geissele 2-stage non adjustable trigger
    Magpul UBR and MIAD
    Fulton Armory upper
    Fulton Armory BCG and bolt
    DD 12" rail
WOA 16" 1:10 match SS barrel
Smith Vortex 308 cal flash hider
VLTOR low profile clamp-on gas block, drilled and pinned by ADCO Firearms.

ADCO Firearms pinned the gas block:

    Cool.

Does that barrel use a mid-length gas tube?

Have you ever shot a DPMS carbine-gas gun? If so, is the diffference noticeable?

Didn't know WOA was making 308 barrels. Can't find anything on their site.

What kind of vortex is that? It looks longer than the normal 308 FH.

    Also does it affect accuracy?

Its a mid gas system. I think the recoil impulse is longer and less sharp compared to a carbine gas system, but its not too drastically different.

I got the barrel from D9Firearms, WOA didn't list them last time I checked.

I still have the 14.5" upper but will probably sell it since I don't need two.

I'm not sure of the model number. It didn't affect accuracy any.

I dont want to derail too bad, but is there a difference between the armalite bolt and the Fulton bolt? Obviously the armalite bolts work in armalite style and FA works in DPMS style.

Or are the bolts interchangeable between the two types?
