    Thumbs up

I just bought a Spike's Tactical FA Bolt Carrier Group coated by Fail Zero and an ST Fail Zero coated trigger group. Couldn't be happier.

A little bit of Slip 2K EWL and the mechanism feels ultra smooth. I am very pleased. It came with an extractor spring with the black insert and a brown o-ring. I replaced the original gas rings with a McFarland ring from G&R and a BCM Extractor spring and insert (I have forgone the crane o-ring, as I'm running a BCM middy setup). The BCM spring was noticeably stronger (and longer) than what came with it.

Is it necessary? Nope. But for the additional reliability of being able to run without lubrication (and run even better with it), the price is well worth it for me.

Being an LEO in Florida, standing guard in the rain is a very real possibility...rain washes away lubricant (and dirt/mud/grime...rain ain't all bad). With FZ coatings working for me on the inside, there is no longer any concern of inclement weather. I now have equally as little concern running my AR in the rain as I do running my SAR-1 AKM clone. This makes me happy and creates fuzzy feelings deep down in my cold heart.

For guys that run an SBR FA or suppressed... well, it's much better than adding a lot of lube

Very good point. For them, like a heavier buffer....it may actually be mandatory. I suppose that remains to be seen so far. It is still a huge improvement for them...that's for certain.

Please excuse me, I cannot be serious all the time. just not my nature!! tongue in cheek... absolutely. salesman/pitch... no, just a humble gunsmith. just got back from the Industry Masters Competition in Nebraska. I just have to say what a great time FMG showed us. look for for more industry products with EXO on them in the future. in the meantime I will try to be more serious.

    fz fan

I also have a fail zero build and will from here on out go with fail zero parts. I run and gun a lot dry and have never had a malfunction that has been the result of no oil in my gun. The cleaning process is also much easier as all you need is a good rag/patch and a little carbon pick for those small areas of extensive impingement. I am in waiting right now for si defense to have there exo 308 parts readily available.

Will you be coming out with piston carriers? Looking for POF. I would be interested because I shoot SBR suppressed. Less oil in my face.
