    Sixell Innovations grip input

Anyone have any input on this item?

It looks like it would be beneficial when firing from an improvised firing position especially if it is a slick surface ie vehicle hood.... not to mention some extra grip while carrying your weapon.

I must admit that even though I had a vertical grip on my rail system I would 50% of the time revert to holding my Mag well when the situation required to fire my weapon from that "low profile position" and would also inadvertently grab my forestock just behind the vertical grip. i have long sense removed my vertical grip and gave it away.

Please let me know what you think.

I have one, but I haven't used it any meaningful sense. I installed after my last range trip. If you have a Magpul BAD, the grip comes real close to it, and depending on how much side to side movement the BAD has its enough to make it rub on the grip. A razor blade and some sandpaper will fix that problem. It does make a magwell hold comfortable.

the magwell is a poor place to hold your rifle.

There's a thread here of a range session where a guy had one of those and an AFG on his carbine. Didn't know how to use either correctly.

    They're not popular around here...

I dont see the point in them, i tried out one magwell grip and thought it was the stupidest add on, if you like holding onto the magwell just hold on to the magwell. You dont need to have a plastic or any type of material on there. Save your money

My opinion is to just use the forend, it's why they make them. Magwell grip is poor form/technique.

Like the most interesting man in the world, I don't always use a magwell grip, but when I do, I only drink neverquit! Ive got a big paw...

Of course magwell grip is not the most desired. However, anyone telling YOU that YOU will NEVER have an occasion to use it needs to go back to punching paper... As I happened to be in this pic that shows my neverquit grip

Remember, the Founding Fathers reason for the 2nd Amendment... to combat tyranny. Sadly, when people discuss the 2nd Amendment, the opponents erroneously think it was meant to stand alone... it HAS a preamble:

"...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security..."

Thanks to all that responded ...after reading and thinking about it
I feel there would be a few occasions I would utilize this item.

    1) I too have big paws...and feel when carrying my weapon this will give me some extra mass to grab as I do carry my weapon often by the Magazine well.

2)If anyone has fired their weapon from a improvised shooting position eg. vehicle hood...plastic against sheet metal is slick and there are many other things one should be concentrating on when forced to use that type of a shooting position.

    3) I too do not always use my magwell to support my weapon...But when put into a scenario like shooting around a corner and me effectively keeping my big paws out of the line of fire by NOT keeping it on your forestock or vertical grip and placing it on my magwell you better believe I am pretty attached to my hand/fingers and will keep them out of the line of fire from those rounds walking down that wall I am on.

    Lastly....its $17.00.....I think I will give it a try
