Hornady, Black Hills, other premiums are like $2.40 a round. Ugh. Glad it's his rifle and not something I'm addicted to!

Surplus cheap ammo is .45 a pop. You can get great ammo for $1.00 per pop. And you spend whatever you want to spend.

Its not that bad. Its unlikely you will go shoot 250 rounds, even if its a soft shooter 308. Its still not 5.56. It go THUMP.

Not accounting for the virgin brass, I'm reloading at 45 cents per round using Varget and 175gr SMK's.

When I was shooting this ammo through bolt guns 500 rounds would last 3-4 months. Sadly the MWS makes it way to easy to shoot 150-200 rounds each trip to the range.

Really only flaw I have found with it so far lol.
