any chance you are running an accu-wedge? My first bushy came with one new from the dealer. Owner said it would aid in accuracy and reliability.

All it did was turn it into a single shot very similar to the symptoms you describe.

I found very quickly that they don't belong on fighting guns.

If only it is that simple. Good luck.

My second one is near the same.

My newest one which is a Patrolman's Carbine is nearing 1200.

My 6920 which was bought a month after the Patrolman's is close to 600.

AND yes I read that thread, a lot of the crap that goes around the internet is hype, regardless to whether or not its this site or the other one. BIAS OPINION! It mainly depends on who is talking. If you get a group of ArmaLite lovers, of course everything else to them is going to be crap. Its the same way with car stereos, tv's, and any other thing on the market.

I never said that BM doesn't have quality issues. But I will be damned if Colt and everyone else doesn't either.

I don't see where some tactical course is going to prove that BM is crap? Because someone else says so? My stay in the Marine Corp 3/7 showed me that Colt has their fair share of issue's too. Even my background doesn't make it so just because I say I seen it and have experienced it.

Bottom line... I am not hear to argue with you or anyone else for that matter, this guy wants to know what he can do to get his gun up and running. That what I am trying to help him with. AND the "computer chair warrior" crap gets really old.
I thought you said you'd play nice and be quiet?

You have a good Bushmaster? Good.

This guy doesn't. He doesn't need to hear how well yours has worked for you.

Why would you call Grant God because he knows what he knows?

You may be able to place him higher than you but you don't need to be so sarcastic about it.

I dont recall saying how good mine worked or didn't work?! If I recall correctly Grant asked me a question and I responded. Please follow the post if you have something to input, and please make your statements correct when you make them.

Next I didnt refer to Grant as God, I was speaking about the "Two of the most prolific instructors" that say what is junk and what is great. Again, please follow along.

As for placing Grant higher than me, I really don't care what Grant or you think you know or what you know as fact for that matter. If either of you know more than I do, thats great! The only thing I know for sure about Grant is that he owns a online store.

I also have a good Colt... Does this make me cool yet?

Lastly, I haven't entered any sarcastic statements so far.

    Now I am done!!

johnson601, I hope you can get your rifle working, our return it and get something you can be happy with! Good luck!

The tactical courses prove that more BMs go out lacking quality than any other. They fail much more often during weekend classes in which thousands of rounds are spent.

You claim you are here to help him? How have you helped him? Before you question me and ask me how I've helped, realize I'm not claiming to have helped.

ETA: Grant owns a retail store- not just an online store. What does that matter? What do you own and what is your involvement in the industry? I think he's more involved than you.

Since he has tried different magazines, I will say that it is a feed ramp related problem. there are guys here more knowledgable than I.

If he is having trouble with it as a plinker, imagine if he later decided to attend a high round count class with it. Bushmaster like other co. put out good ones and bad ones. Well, maybe more lemons than some other co's.

Send it back , while it is still under warranty.

Well since the guy came here and said he had a problem, the guy hasn't been back, I did state some things he might look into to help this guy, but once again he hasn't been back to give any more input. You must be an idiot, or you are not reading the posts. You are hear to ride Grants nuts, and thats all fine and dandy if thats what you like to do. Just dont forget to wipe your mouth off when you are finished.

I am glad that Grant owns a store, good for him. I also didnt say it did matter, I did say thats all I know about him. ONCE AGAIN FOLLOW THE POSTS.... Who gives a shit what my involvement is in this industry. I really dont care what yours is either. What Grant has or does or what his involvement with the industry doesn't make me feel any different about him and its sure not going to make me ride his nuts. Maybe he will give you a good discount if you suck enough.

Seriously, your half shot arguments are very elementary at best. What you are posting to me makes no sense at all. It seems you are blindly posting your feedback to me without reading or comprehending what is being said.

Also, its obvious that your are not posting here to help, you are posting here to make some stabs at me. Which also shows that you cant seem to figure out how to follow the topic at hand. Your ignorance makes for a good laugh.

Grant, at least give this guy half off his next order. He is trying very hard!

Sorry to hear you had problems with your carbine. I haven't had any problems with my carbines, both BM. I'd give BM's customer service a chance to remedy the problem before giving up on them entirely. I'm a bit surprised to hear a factory rifle having those issues though. Either give them a chance or get your money back and buy something else. Either way, just make sure you end up with something that works- clearly this carbine isn't.

I will say though, that this site seems to be heavily anti-BM and pro-Colt. Not that some don't have their reasons, but there seems to be much kool-aid drinking going on. To each his own, mine are fine for me, but it really irks me to hear BM spoken of as if they are on par with Hesse.

Enough with the Kool-Aid comments. This is ridiculous.

I have my reasons now for liking Colt. I am glad they pressure test their barrels and MPI them. I just KB'd a 9mm today after a squib round in my Colt upper. As far as I can tell at the moment, no ill effects to the chamber and barrel which means no total loss on the gun. The bolt appears fine as well.

Also thanks to the plastic shell deflector and the Israelis for making strong UZI mags.

ETA: Are the copper jackets of the rounds getting stuck in the ramps of the barrel extension? Is the extension scoring the jackets? I have a friend whose CMMG barrel was doing that. I remedied the problem with a small file. I made his extension's ramps match those in my WOA barrel. You get what you pay for.

Good one! Man you guys are on it here! The forumites have wasted so much time on the internet, they can now tell how smart someone is by how they type.

Give this guy a discount too. OR just send him a Colt shirt so he can act like he can afford one.
