Very nice! I want one as a platform for a build up. Got any in stock or know where I can get one? I have my LGS checking on availability but haven't heard anything yet. PM me if you have access to (can secure) one for me.

A few distributors have them and they are being resupplied.

That's a Remington SPS? How is that compared to the old PSS?

My father bought a PSS and it had a little work done to it by a guy down south in IN. 2lb trigger and 20MOA base.

At 100 yards, I got a 0.189" group with BH red box 168gr.

It has a 1:10 barrel instead of 1:12, and the muzzle is threaded.

Looks pretty sweet? So what's wrong with it Seems like these package deals always have something that isn't kosher. Might want to switch to a Manners stock, but with the 1:10 20inch barrel, you should be able to target shoot out to 1000?

Bud's is out of them, but their last price was $595, that seems pretty reasonable for what you get. I assume it is drilled and tapped for a scope mount already? Remington's site is always thin with info.

    Ron,

Got some weights on those rifles- I know this is the really just a difference in the standard vs the AICS stocks, but I was wondering how much the full up rifles weighed.

    Thanks!

The old PSS had a 24" barrel. The SPS has a 20" barrel. The contours are the same however other than length IIRC.
The H-S stock on the PSS and P models is waaaaaay better than the POS Hogue that comes with the SPS T models.
Bottom metal on the SPS is not that great, but about norm for a mass production rifle.
Barrels are usually pretty good, and shoot well. The .223 versions had some problems.
Obviously, the twist and muzzle threading is different.
The X Mark Pro trigger is not that great either.

    The stock and the trigger.

The Hogue stock is a definite POS, and the new rifling will definitely help with the heavier loads.

Yes, they are drilled and tapped. I have heard of a few of them being slightly off center though.
If I had known this one was coming out, I would not have bought my standard SPS T last November.

    Nice!

We've been waiting for our local distributor to get their hands on these... we'll eventually have pulled barrels available once we get some in- as is, it looks like the perfect starter rifle. Seems like Remington actually paid attention to customer input!
