    Best Made Folding Battle Sights?

I am in need of a set (front and rear), of folding iron sights for my duty weapon a Colt 6920. Can anyone tell me from actual experiences who makes the best folding sights? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Do you need to fit a scope or magnifier above the rear sight? If so, you may need a lower profile rear sight. Just a thought.

Interesting that you're looking for a front site as well for your 6920, I'm guessing you installed a free-float rail of some kind?

In any case, you'll find that Troy is pretty much the standard. That is, if you can find a place that has both the front and rears in stock.

Larue has good pricing for a set of Troys:

Avoid any concave rear aperture. They work like a mini satellite dish directing the sun, from any direction, directly into your eye.

Just received another set of Troy F/R folding sights. For this purchase, I ordered the DOA rear sight. For my aging eyes, the DOA affords me much quicker target acquisition.

I'm not gonna lie, and it may just be placebo, but I swear I shoot better with KAC flip-ups than any other I've tried.

    1. Not if it's kept properly blacked, and...

    2. It's far, far more likely a personal ocular sensitivity, and atypical. Geometry and the fact that sunlight can't come from every direction at once, alone, makes the statement unsound. Add that, even if that WAS physically possible, it'd be a diffuse reflection and not a specular one, even improper or incomplete sight-black...
