Do you have an anti-tilt buffer in yours? Noticed any gouges or excessive wear due to carrier tilt?

The 'very minute' Colt offers an OEM piston system that will fit my LE 6920, I'll be one of the first to place an order. Until that time, I got no choice but to go with whats available.

No choice? The 6920 is a very dependable weapon as is out of the box.

Thats right. I am a first responder, my department has decided to go with piston systems for its AR's. The direct impingement system is out dated and obsolete. Got to get with the times. Out with the old in with the new. Someone forgot to tell Colt, though.

What department is this that mandates piston ARs?

Strange they are mandating just any old piston system. This is the first I have heard of any dept requiring the conversion of the DI guns. I also highly disagree that the DI is obsolete.

Not 'any old', I made the mistake of getting a kit, I should have gone with the suggested complete upper. Think what you will, the choice is yours.

RedTide, you have a geer queer somewhere in your chain of command. That's definitely one of the silliest requirements I've ever heard of.

Maybe you're a first responder in Kandahar and those mil spec 6920s just don't cut it out there. Maybe your lube would burn off 600 rds into the firefight or the suppressor blowback from another fire fight would be alleviated by that all important piston.

I gotta know what department this is.

    No Dice!
I'm not going to have a pissing contest here with you or anyone else. You have your opinion and I have mine. You buy and use what you want and I'll do the same. Capiche?
