Vickers Tactical 2-Day Battle Rifle Class – Nov. 6-7, 2010 - NC
This class will focus 100% on shooting a battle rifle caliber rifle. Topics covered include safety, stance, zeroing sights, sight alignment, trigger control, reloads, malfunction clearance, presentation, shooting positions, strong side & weak side shooting, use of cover, shooting on the move, etc. Weapon familiarization training to include field stripping, maintenance, lubrication, and suggested / not suggested modifications/upgrades.
** Must shoot a “Battle Rifle” caliber rifle (KAC SR25, FN SCAR H, HK417, FAL, G3, HK91, AR10, M14, Larue OBR, LWRC REPR, M1A, Garand - any 30 cal auto loader, AK's in 7.62x39, ETC.) The goal is to have at least one of each available in the class. **

Weapon & Gear Class Requirements:
Carbine:
- Serviceable duty grade “Battle Rifle” caliber rifle
- Serviceable sling (tactical type preferred.)
- Minimum of 5 serviceable magazines
Handgun (For transition training):
- Serviceable duty grade handgun of at least 9mm Para caliber
- Minimum of 2 serviceable pistol magazines
- Serviceable holster
- Pistol magazine pouch
MISC:
- Eye and ear protection (electronic hearing protection is preferred)
- Chest pouch to hold 3-4 rifle magazines would be “Nice” – LAV quote
- Suitable range wear depending on the season
- Weapon cleaning & lubrication supplies
- Good attitude
Zeroed Weapons: 100-yard carbine preferred, but others are acceptable if you have a good reason why and understand it. Know your handguns zero at various ranges.
Ammo Requirements:
- 600 rounds rifle
- 150 rounds of handgun
