after reading this thread, i decided to build a dedicated suppressed upper. Grant gave me the idea, Steve From adco did the barrel work, and Grant figured out the solution to making it work even without a can.
Its a undergassed barrel, the barrel gas port is left at carbine size, so there isn;t a overgassed situation. BUT normally they will not fuction without a can on it, Grant from G&R tactical figured out that by using a LMT enhanced BCG it would even run without a can.
Using 5.56 spec ammo it will run without the can, but not with .223 spec ammo. WITH A CAN it runs very smooth with less recoil, less muzzle rise, and less gas blowback to the face, AND it runs cleaner as it is undergassed. THIS UPPER IS A BLAST TO SHOOT WITH A CAN!
