Looking to replace the front sight on my .308 AP4 and was wondering which one I should go with. This will be one that clamps to the barrel. One of my questions was, will an ar-15 flip-up front sight work for me? I've heard conflicting stories.

Why not a pinned front sight assy?

Pinned assembly would work fine too. Didn't realize pinned flip-up assemblies were made.
