What is the best set up to use with flip up front/rear sights?

More than likely the M4. Aimpoint reps came out to our firing range and beat the hell out of thier product. The rep fired rounds, removed the M4 from the rifle and threw it down range. Did this a few times. re-mounted the sight on the rifle and it was perfectly sight aligned every time. Can't do that with an Eotech!!!!!
The T1 is whatever height you want it to be. The T1 itself is tiny, and some places ship it without a mount at all. You can find low mounts (made for an AK, which wouldn't cowitness with an AR (too low)), medium mounts (which are a full cowitness), and higher mounts (which result in a lower 1/3 or 1/4 cowitness. Many mount kits for the T1 and H1 come with 3 levels (well, two levels plus 'no spacer') of height setting.

Got my M4S yesterday from my brown truck buddy.

I am evaluating it now. So far I like it.

I'm viciously hitting the F5 page for UPS for my Accupoint. It still says Monday. Arrrgh!

(I wonder... if it reaches the local depot today, can I just go pick it up?)

To add some aimpoint goodness - is there any reason to get the m4 with the battery case semi-exposed, over the m4s with it in the more secure location?

The only advantage that I would see is in the intensity adjustment. I have read that it is easier to make adjustments with a magnifier in place with the M4 model. I don't have a magnifier so I can't document that statment as fact personally.

From my very limited experience. (Less than 24 hrs ) I am right handed and when I have to adjust the intensity, I usually block the sight when I make an adjustment with my left hand. But I think the lower housing is better from a snagging/hitting things standpoint.

As to UPS, it wouldn't hurt to call and ask. I am sure they will be transferring it from the freight truck to the delivery truck at your local depot, see if they will hold if for you. I did that once with a upper that I didn't want sitting on my doorstep all day.

Just use your right hand to adjust the intensity.

I know the super duper tactical guys will flip out about "always maintaining a firing grip on the weapon". But, when you think about it, it is silly. It takes a second to change your intensity with your right hand. As long as you are not exposed, taking direct fire - live on the wild side and do it the easy way.

W/the M4 you can reverse the mount to place the QD knob on the right instead of the left if desired. Can't do that w/the M4S.
