    A couple of sweeeet looking rifles for sure !!! There is nothing like watching the FedEx truck pull into your driveway and the driver jump out with that long box,,,, Its almost "better" than Christmas !!! It is for sure the time to buy a M1 from CMP,,they have lots of nice ones and tons of ammo !!!! Get it while the gettin is good. I really want another one,,,but I already have 4,,,, so I don't "really" need another one,,,,but I just mite have to break down !!! Again Big Congrats on your rifles,,,,& a BIGGER congrats on getting your Son involved in shooting !!! Keep the tradition alive !!!

    Congrats on a nice find.

    Nothing feels better than opening up that box from CMP and finding more than what you expected.

    In my case it was a mint '42SA from the DCM for the princely sum of $165 in '91. I bought another M1 at the North store a few years ago, '44SA Service Grade for $400. Not as pretty as the first, but she still shoots well for her age.
