I agree and may never change to a rail. The only thing i can think of is better accuracy when using a free floating forearm, but you have to be a good enough shot in the first place to notice a difference between the two. I dont think i would notice haha...

The only thing hanging off my handguard is a light and I dont need a 4 rail to do that...

I have a set of RRA and CAV arms. The CAV arms are built much better in my opinion and they are a breeze to install and remove. RRA had excellent coustomer service when they replaced my first set of RRA handguards. I've never had trouble installing handguards until I met RRA. I found the only way I could install them was to get the top of both handguards in place, pull down on the delta ring and pop the bottome two halves in at once.

The longer rails are needed to cover the longer mid length gas tube.

I was holding out for the MOES for my middy but I broke down and got a set of Troy rails. While they were not cheap I really like them even though all I have on them are a light and a vfg.

I would stay away from the UTG rails. I made that mistake once. The metal is very soft on them.

I put the Troy/VTAC Extreme 13" on my BCM14.5" mid-length upper and it is by far the nicest to shoot of all that I've owned.

Did you shave the FSP down or go another way with the gas block. My 14.5" upper should be at the gunsmith tomorrow to have some work done and you have me thinking I should ask him to shave the FSP too.

Plus, the 15.2 oz seems a bit much.
