6.8 build on regular AR lower?

I'm buying some stripped lowers and wanted to make sure if I want to do a 6.8 build in the future that one of then will work...? Thanks

    They will work fine.
I have a few 6.8 builds & if it wasn't for me living in a ban state,I would be using new recievers either marked 6.8 or Noveske,S&W lowers that have no cal marking.

The switch to 6.8 requires a new barrel, a new bolt and some new magazines. Everything else, including your lower(s) is already compatible. Non-issue.

Thanks... I just talked my brother into buying 3 lowers and wanted to "someday" build him a pig gun in 6.8 and didn't even think to make certain a standard lower was kosher.

Actually, when you get right down to it, compatibility with existing AR architecture (i.e. upper and lower receivers) was the whole reason that intermediate cartridges like the 6.8 and 6.5 came into existence.

Of course, I'm not sure how one can go about setting up a Kosher pig gun, but the moral of the story is that you did fine. =]

    It will work just fine.

is there any legal issue building a 6.8 on a 5.56 marked lower?
