Smith & Wesson and Noveske do not even list caliber on their lowers. I am sure there are others that do not either. I would be concerned if you had a bbl with no caliber markings that would be a PITA and dangerous. With a lower there are too many different caliber options to list. Some companies choose to mark them multi, I don't care for that myself.
