    KNS pins to long?

My Gen 2 pins are just a little to long. Should I file them down or are they suppose to be long? Noveske H lower.

Why did you install them at all? Aftermarket junk like that is never going to be right.

there maby 1/16" longer then the lower is wide. so the pins can move side to side. Both bars do not touch the lower.

No, the other guy. I'd like him to explain his assertion.

They serve no purpose other than to make money. Rotating pins are not going to cause the holes to wear out. Bonerhead disassembly and incorrect assembly or using the wrong tools will cause it.

I have seen hundreds of U.S military issue weapons that were in some cases older than me and they had zero problems with pins walking out.

Aha. I was confused by the statement "Aftermarket junk like that is never going to be right."

I didn't think pins walking out was the issue. The hammer spring rides the detents of the trigger pin and the j-hook in the hammer locks in the hammer pin. With all the spring tension on them I doubt they would ever walk out.

What they are concerened about is the holes of the receiver egging out and getting larger. That would then theoretically cause issues.

I can guarantee that the M16A1 I was issued served in Vietnam and I never saw any issues with it or any of the older ones I have seen.
