Suggestions for Shot Shell Arm Carrier & AR Mag Pouches?

I'm getting back into 3-Gun after a long hiatus and need some new gear.

What is the preferred brand, capacity, and a good source for a shot shell arm carrier? I have skinny wrists so adjustability is a concern. (I'm in good shape on 3 & 6 round belt carriers and even a rarely used chest rig.)

Also need suggestions on AR Mag pouches for P-Mags. Is a drop leg carrier for a couple of AR mags desired or more of a tacti-cool thing?

I don't think I can help you much on the shotshell carrier, as my preferred method of carrying shells has been a stock cuff and belt carriers (and on long stages, I'm generally glad I wear cargo pants . . .). That's taken care of me in my limited experience with local 3-gun matches.

As for rifle pouches, I've been very pleased with these:

Good price and they held my P-mags great. No issues with them falling out. For me, trying to reload on the run and reaching down past my belt for a reload would be awkward at best. I much prefer to stick to loading from the belt since that's where I've always had my mags.

This is the rig that was used for 3-gun. I've replaced the mag pouches with CR-Speed ones, but everything else would be the same for a local match:

Getting stuff out of 3gungear in a timely fashion can be tricky.

Shotshell caddies and other stuff can be ordered from www.3gunstuff.com, brownells, speedshooters or shooters connection.

Lots of choices, just trying to find out what the latest-greatest, works the best, (yada yada) for competition without being pure "IPSC" if you know what I mean.

The double pouch from 3GunGear looks like a good compromise between tactical and competitive use. Is it suitable for use with a leather gun belt on or just behind the left hip - two belt loops, or one? How is the fit on P-Mags - I'm looking for moderately snug retention with a fairly easy draw.

How long is the lead time on orders from 3GunGear? Two weeks would be OK, but not two months...

Anyone use the "Ready Tactical" AR Mag pouches with P-Mags? Pics and reviews here (but I'm concerned about the rearward leaning setup):

I prefer a leather gun belt or Wilderness belt, but might have to drag my Velcro double belt out of retirement. It's really difficult to get all that ammo on without my pants falling down - and the local match is typically all three guns in one stage.

Thats the thing. You never know. If you can find it in stock, buy it. Dont order it and expect it to show up fast.

    Kinda like KyTac holsters...
