Little Lebowski is the pro here. I stick to the 5.56 pistons for classes but like taking the 5.45 SW out as much as I can for practice(cheap). I do a WD-40 with a HOT water bath - then clean with Balistol!
Checked after my prior post and looks good.
Where it seems the coming of the 90s/2000s well known principles of not having to clean as much but lube the hell out of the ARs/M16s works, the days of the 80s and prior clean and dry the hell out of your weapon after every outing seems to prevail in my head for the 5.45s. Luckily I was brought up with the M16s of the mid 80s so a crazy cleaning where a DI can inspect the weapon with a white pipe cleaning is OK with me.
Glocks are functional tools and nothing else, hence they have no soul - Rob S.
