    No problem on the lower. The tops of mags were stopping short in the upper. Once we got that squared away, any and all mags would seat in the lower far enough. That's when the pretend mag catch made itself evident. Mags would click in but you could yank them right back out.

    It is possible that the magwell of your lower might be a bit long, causing the top ridge of the Pmag or the little bumps to hang and prevent full insertion. It was a problem with S&W guns for a while, and the fix is to simply do some light sanding.

    I'm not saying that it is the problem, but rather a quick check to keep you from straying too far if it is.
    I only use Pmags in the AR and save the GI mags for the FS2000 being it won't take Pmags. Didn't try them in this AR but being that it now works fine, I guess its a moot point. Lower is a Noveske.
