Im in orange county. Just got word of a 3gun in dutchess county. Waiting for more info. There is also IPSC in dutchess on saturday.

Define Upstate.
Every Part of NY has their own "up state", to NYC its the Hudson Valley, To the Hudson Valley it is Binghampton - Albany and north. And so it goes on.

I would be interested in knowing this information as well. I live in the Mid Hudson, and really want to get into competitive shooting. I don't even know where to start though.

mac5.56 - I live in the Hudson Valley as well. Not sure how close you are to Dutchess, however, there will be an IPSC match at DCPA on Sunday 8/22. Here is some Info.
6 stage DCPA IPSC match Sunday 8/22
Registration starts at 830 - CLOSES at 915
Shooters meeting 930
Pre-registration is open through Saturday. If you are traveling with other competitors, please
send me a list (Name, Division, USPSA#) so I can assure you are squaded together.
Setup starts ~1pm on Saturday
Plan on 130 +/- minimum rounds for the match this month.
