Nice, sounds like next week or two then. Better get a kidney ready to go on ebay.

Is that MAID issue with the spring a KAC SR lower problem only?

That TAP is pure evil, can't wait to see it.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Its an issue with any of the SR-25 or AR10 based lowers (and our SR-15's)
Due to the position of the Rear take Down Retaining Detent and Spring channel location, and the design of the MIAD not have the full shelf at the rear like the A2/A2 grips.

Taking a tap to an SR-25 lower would certainly make my butt pucker. You're a braver man than I.

Looking forward to the supah tap photos. I know my shoulder is looking forward to it as well.

Could you use epoxy or some sort of filler to create a shelf in the MIAD to allow it to retain the springs?

Here's the work around I did on my SR-15. Not as elegant as Kevin's tap job:

Unless you use the B1 backstrap just drop this in the MIAD.

Todd, unfortunately, the results are mixed with that. Because it's a rubber piece, and it's not a very strong forward to back lockup, it's easy for the detent spring to still sit kind of askew.

It took me a few tries to get a good seating on my EMC with the MIAD adapter.

The rubber filler is nice for aesthtics, but it does not do a great job with keeping the spring tensioned.

Beautiful setup there KevinB. The outdoor pics really do it.
