    Range Report & Question

I took my LMT MWS 308 to the range today. I shot some 168 grain TAP. I was shooting some 3 shot groups as I have been playing with different ammo to find the right load.

I clover leafed 3 shots then clover leafed three more shots 1 inch below. I have done similar groups before. With a MRP, I thought pressure would not be an issue on the front of the gun? Any thoughts on my groups?

I took my sons 270 win (Rem 700 youth) and clover leafed 130 Grain Winchester Ballistic tips. That black box Silver Win ammo for hunting has been outstanding in my guns. Maybe I should try in LMT?

This may happen due to a number of reasons:
    1) Changes in cheek wield
    2) Shooter fatigue
    3) Changes barrel temperature
    etc.

    Don't shoot 3rd groups...

5 is better and 10 is an honest assessment.

Very interesting. I was expecting that the pattern (i.e. changes between 3-shot groups) would be something more shooter related such as breaking cheek wield. I wonder why there is a pattern to the bullet alterations as opposed to being random?
