I picked one up for my Noveske midlength AR. Thought about getting one for my LMT MWS, but held off, thinking it was more for CQB applications, and maybe a DMR type break would be in the near future. I dont see how that type of break would differ much of the BABC. Maybe I will have to pick one up now....

crossgun, are you running a CAR10 buffer with your UBR? Any hiccups?

    Minor update for me..

I got my Big A$$ Battle Comp in the mail today. I'm hoping to get it mounted and to the range this weekend, but we shall see. Closing on a house tends to eat up time.

I've also got some good data for comparison with a timer.

For the 16" .308 guys, anyone notice muzzle flash during the day?

Correct, special CAR 10 buffer and spring that I received from Clint Butler at heavybuffers.com

Rifle runs very smooth. No issues at all. Not sure the UBR is going to stay. It is an improvement over the SOPMOD for prone and bench work but I have an extra PRS that I believe the LMT will soon be wearing.

Rifle length stocks like the PRS also require a different AR10 shortened buffer as well.

I was really hoping to send it back but cant because it works and it’s AWSOME! It is a very effective brake. Prior to installing it with the factory supplied flash hider I could not keep my rifle on my own target while shooting off a bench. It would jump almost two positions to the right at 100. Now it settles right back down and hardly moves. It also seems to have smoothed out the recoil pulse. Honestly I believe it’s a little quieter as well.

I know the BCE BABC is the best $200 you can spend on your AR10 type rifle.

    Here's mine as currently configured.

Glad you like it! Sorry about the phone thing. Best bet is an email to Nick with a call-back number, just in case the bottom falls out -- like it did last week.

Being full-time cops sometimes precludes answering the phone during the day. Nick was at SWAT training, and we had another robbery/attempted murder. So far, three out of four crooks in custody. I need some sleep.

Run 'er hard and put 'er away wet!

I am very interested in one of those babc comps. Don't have the coin for one at the moment. I checked out your website and was impressed with the video and the feedback here.

It appears that from looking at the Battelcomp, ports allow for the control of vertical and horizontal muzzle movement but no ports are directed at an angle rearward to assist in the rearward recoil (not needed on a 5.56 but certainly would help on a 7.62x51).

    Is that a correct assumption?
