This Redi-mag II has an independent mag catch for use by right or left handed shooters and includes Bolt Catch Extension (BCE). These features allow the shooter to effectively clear bolt-over-base malfunctions. Quick-attach capability allows attachment or removal from issue weapons in minutes. Includes wrench. Fits all M4 Carbines and M16/AR15 rifles.

The Blue Force Gear Redi-Mag II is an awesome addition to a Patrol Carbine. No matter if it's a barricaded gunman call, searching a unsecured building, robbery in progress, or an active shooter incident. Pop the trunk, grab your long gun, and you've got 60 rounds on tap without having to worry about grabbing extra magazines or additional gear.

Larry Vickers had one of these on his personal HK 416 that he let me shoot through part of a Vickers Tactical Carbine Course back in Sept of last year. I was very impressed with Blue Force Gear Redi-Mag II.

That's definitely on my list, Jeff!

The problem is, I'll end up wanting to outfit several of my ARs with it. Good gear isn't cheap.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks...

It really does fill a niche like Jeff mentioned above. I forget which trainer drilled it, but you usually would "fight" or "defend" with what you have on your person.

Well, with this, you have 60 rounds, and a spare mag if you have a jam...
