That's exactly what I was thinking, same sling too. I can see the "Little Vasili" comments now...

Interesting, I had not considered the AK angle yet.

Please post some pictures when you get a chance. I'm curious to see how this works out.

    Roger that.

Once my AK is complete to my liking I'll be sure to post pics in one of those "keep that tactik00l crap offa my AK" threads that are inhabited by builders and purists who excel at bump-firing.

Trust me Kevin, you will love the BFG LW version.

I only got to handle one but BFG advertises a 25% weight reduction and I believe it. It certainly felt noticeably lighter.

Not to mention probably it’s number one advantage; the ability to easily see the magwell during reloads. This advantage cannot be understated.

If anybody likes the current Redi-Mag (Like me), they will love the BFG version. It’s like night verses day better.

The wire loop is going to solve my decision making disorder with respect to how to attach my single point sling to my 1100.

Another cool thing is that they're portable ... looks pretty easy to move from one gun or spot on a gun to another.

It would also be cool if they made one with a circular or D-ring on the end for slings with hooks on the ends.

I'm thinking of trying one on my Para FAL, not happy with the standard rear mount. Loop might be a little long, wonder if I could double wrap it.

An unsolicited plug for both new Blue Force Gear items- I prompted Ashley to do the wire loop adapter a while ago and after he took a hard look at the idea he became a big proponent - I was used to the wire loop on the now discontinued Boonie Packer BP5 sling and found it to be very adaptable - in my humble opinion Ashley's is much better and has the usual BFG quality - it makes many other adapters obsolete and allows you the freedom of putting a good sling on almost anything

The skeletonized Redi Mag was a labor of love for Ashley- he spent some real coin on the tooling and the result is superb - when you look at the 'state of the art' set up of a year ago with a standard redi mag with 2 loaded steel HK mags to the set up now of a BFG skeletonized version with 2 loaded P MAGS (verdict is still out on those but results look promising) we have made a BIG step in the right direction of getting the weight down on these varmint caliber carbines we all use that weigh as much as an M1 Garand

Cudos to Ashley and BFG for these two new accessories

    Cheers

Sorry for the late reply, but yes it will. I just shot this picture in the garage under some hideous lighting, so try not to laugh too hard.
