I like that rail mounted sling attachment point. I just ordered one.
The BFG redi mag is on the "to buy" list as well.

Is the BFG redi mag a diy or more of a 'smith installation?
Thanks. Where is the best place to get the BFG redi mag?
eta: I've read a few redi-mag threads through a search ( redi-mag and redi+mag ) and have not seen the bolt release manipulation mentioned. I guess the redi-mag takes away the slap the bolt home manipulation and limits you to a finger push, or would an oversized bolt release be in order?
eta2: ok, this redi-mag thread has m4carbine member ErikL asking about the bolt release on post #10.
Correct, it does not allow you to slap the bolt release.
After a couple of nights practicing though, since you usually use your weak side thumb to release the mag in the redi-mag, it is right there to press the bolt release...
A little more fine motor...but easily doable with practice
ETA: best place to by would probably be BFG, they shipped it same day I ordered it...pretty impressive
Is the whole sling padded?

I've never seen this question asked, and it's a cosmetic question so this has nothing to do with functionality and thus a throw away to many, but does installation of a redi-mag mar the receiver finish? Would the analogy be similar to scope mounting ring marks?
