    Combination Light and Front Grip?

Can anyone tell me what would be the best and brightest light/front grip for a M4. I have the DD M4. Cost is not a problem, but I would like a light that is Bright, and tough, also if you know where they are sold, that would be helpful.

Any and all information appreciated as always!

Are you looking for a grip with an integrated light? Or can they be separate?

I would get a separate light and grip - much more versatility.

Surefire makes something that fits your description.

You said price is not a factor, but make sure you're okay with the size and weight.

I need a light and integrated grip. I have tried the light only, with a seperate grip, and just want to make this unit as simple as possible. I don't want to have to decide which side to put it on, which hand to use to turn it on, or the grip to get in the way. Most all of my shooting is off hand. The Verticle Foregrip Weaponmount looks like just what I am looking for. It looks like from the link there is is 3 lights with only 235 lumens offered. I guess that is bright enough. I need to light up a whole alley, at a time, they are about a block long, I'd say appx 250 meters. I guess the only way to see if it works is buy it and try it....
    Thanks for the information!

Surefire is the only one that I'd personally use that fits your description. The Elzetta is tough enough too, but doesn't come in the vertical foregrip version you want. There are a lot of lights that claim to be brighter but I doubt you'll find any as tough as the US made lights.

If your heart is set on the combo, Surefire is the only way to fly. However, I would try one before you buy. The M900 series is heavy and limits your options. While it is nice to have the light in line with the bore because it gives a sleeker profile to the gun, I have moved away from 6 o'clock mounted lights. I prefer to mount my light next-to or above the bore if at all possible. The reason is: if I have to engage from a position of cover, over a barricade, I need raise my weapon even higher to clear the bezel of the light.

Unless you're dead set on a combination, I think the DDM4 really lends itself well to a 12 o'clock light mount.

I'm not familiar with the toggle on the X200/X300 light, but the TLR-1 I had mounted on mine was usable with either hand. The toggles were on either side of the FSB.

I have a X300 I use on another weapon, I just need something brighter... I wish I could get the lumens of a Devastater out of a small light. The Toggle on the X300 is ambi, and very easy to use but it is left or right. Probably would be real good on an offset rail. You know now that I think of it I always have time to put a light on before I get to where I am going, maybe I could get a scout light mounted on the side of the FSB... I'm going to a gun show soon and maybe I can check a couple different lights. I'm not in a real hurry. I really don't want a lot more weight on the front end. With the DDM4 landscape in the front of the FSB, I sent it back and they changed it for me - no charge and installed the pencil barrel.
    Thanks everyone for the thoughts!
