Best place to buy Colt bolt carrier groups?

Used to be able to buy them new for $175. Now I can't find them, except for SAW and I could part out a new Colt for less than that.

I think the real question is.....does it have to be Colt? They are so damn expensive and from what I have seen of Daniel Defense and BCM they are every bit as good.

Unless it was going into a COLT gun, I'd go with a BCM bolt group.

The only bcgs I currently run are colt's and bcm's...that said, I honestly believe the Colt is worth paying the extra for. I do not believe colt makes the best anything anymore except for the F/A full circle BCG ...just to point out I am not a colt fanboy. Both are top notch.

It has to be a Colt because Ken Elmore isn't going to work on anything else.

I just don't want to pay him what he wants for a BCG.

no.. you're an LMT fanboy, so what you got against their BCGs? LMT is the only manfer recessing behind their lugs. a radius is a lot stronger than a 90, and easier to keep clean. most lug breakage is caused by pitting behind the lungs

my opinion, putting an LMT bolt in a BCM carrier creates the best BCG you can have

We sell them for $189, but are out of them currently.

Why does Ken need to work on it? Or... is there an existing problem that you need looked at? or is it for future potential issues?

I took a broken Colt carrier group to SAW and the told me it was fine. Ended up pulling the key off myself and Scottsdale gun club repaired it for me.
