Howdy! That is an Ironwood Custom set of stocks I think the fella passed not long ago. Anyway, it came unfinished and I made my own, real, button shellac. Made four progressive tints by adding more lacquer dye (red and brown) to the next jar (measured don’t remember)I think I did three or four coats of each tint value (save the last, I only did 2). Lacquer is a tricky beast if you’ve never done it before. But with practice you can get an even surfaced shine! I can try to dig up an old thread from another forum where I went into pretty extensive detail with the process.

Bought her in that damned'able Sporterized version... Yuck!
Immediately converted her, she went through several variations and this is where she has settled.

So this ^^^ rifle finally got converted to an AK-103.
Mounted a PK01-VS on it and called it good.
