Howdy! That is an Ironwood Custom set of stocks I think the fella passed not long ago. Anyway, it came unfinished and I made my own, real, button shellac. Made four progressive tints by adding more lacquer dye (red and brown) to the next jar (measured don’t remember)I think I did three or four coats of each tint value (save the last, I only did 2). Lacquer is a tricky beast if you’ve never done it before. But with practice you can get an even surfaced shine! I can try to dig up an old thread from another forum where I went into pretty extensive detail with the process.
