It's great, only complaint is that it's not QD.
But yeah, it uses two rail slots, and bolts right to it. Lightweight, and very flat so it doesn't interfere with irons or the Aimpoint. The regular Thorntail was a bit too long for this setup, so the SBR feels like it was built for the AK.
EDIT - here's a good pic of the sight picture with the setup. Seems like it's in the way, but my support hand completely obscures it from view, and I don't even see it when I'm using the rifle.

I was wondering how you did that.
Several attempts with a longer lens to get everything in focus at "infinity", and then giving up, using a 35mm and just photoshopping the dot... Gotta work smarter not harder lol.
Thanks, yours in the fighting AK thread looks like an excellent setup too, by the way. I've been holding out for a while with other projects, but I do need to get an RS/H1 combo on the SGL.
And as for the light mount, it might be worth holding out for the new Magpul handguards. I will probably put their Zhukov stock and MOE handguard on the SGL whenever it comes out, which will make mounting a light super simple.
I'm kinda old fashioned.
Kinda.
