Years ago (1980s) I bought a Clayco AK. I did not like the synthetic furniture on it so it now looks just about like yours. It is still one of my favorite rifles. I assume your receiver is Chinese?

Unfortunately, no, it's just a Romanian kit-build from Atlantic Firearms. The furniture is a surplus AKM Izhmash set I bought on Ebay. Russian wood is incredibly beautiful- it shimmers and has this reflective depth that I haven't seen on any other nation's furniture. Whenever I buy another AK, it'll probably be a 5.45 or 5.56 Alpha build.

OK- I just looked at mine and the trunnion rivets are diagonal. For some reason (mind fart) I thought they were horizontal.

Bought a WASR back in December and just finished it. Probably put too much money in to this thing but what the hell right? My rattlecan camo job came out a little lighter than I expected but it actually matches the terrain here in the high desert pretty well so I'll most likely not change it. Should be out running some drills with it next weekend. I'm glad my old US Palm mags fit nicely in her, still like them better than Magpuls.

    Specs:

    GL-Core stock

    Definitive Arms stock adapter

    Strike Industries pistol grip

    ALG Defense trigger

    Polish enhanced safety selector

    Extended charging handle from HKParts.net

SIG Romeo 4DR on an Attero Arms mount (absolutely fantastic mount!)

Troy Industries gas tube and (short) handguard

    Magpul MVG

Arisaka 300 light on a Haley Strategic Thorntail SBR mount with Surefire tapeswitch

Meridian Defense Corp BD2 muzzle brake

    Ferro Concepts Slingster sling

Left is an SLR106CR that has been SBR'd to 12.5. It has a Krebs Custom safety, and a Vortex Crossfire on an Attero Arms mount. It also has an ALG trigger.

On the Right is a Waffen Werks AK74, or at least it was. Ultimak, gas block sight combo, Krebs safety, and a pinned and welded Surefire brake so I can mount a can on it when I please. It is an incredibly soft shooting rifle.
