When I got'er she had a chin weld that was a biotch to maintain any accuracy with, aggravating, and I often entertained selling it.
But she was a soft shooter, fun at the range and had potential so I held on to it.
Then a buddy of mine who knew how I felt about it took a Vepr stock set and made an adjustable riser for it.
OMG'osh what a difference, beautiful Russian walnut furniture, a great cheek weld and now an absolute joy to shoot!
She is also my youngest son's favorite BIGrifle... She will never leave me now.

Immediately converted her, she went through several variations and this is where she has settled.

That's just awesome. It's amazing how many rifles have horrible cheek welds with no prospects for help. One of the worst I can think of is the Polish Beryl. You have a good friend there. If he ever wants to do some more, I'm interested.Saiga ver.21 .308
